About Me

Certificate of QualificationHi My name is Arthur, I’m a Inter-provincial Journey Carpenter by trade. I completed my apprenticeship in June of 1983. I was raised in New Westminster B.C. and was always interested in working with wood.

I worked with my Father during the summer months doing carpentry and began my apprenticeship training in June of 1979.

I’m semi-retired and do odd jobs and moved to McBride B.C. in 1993 and have worked as a self-employed Carpenter Handyman. We have 4 children [blended family]  and 8 Grand kids and wanted to raise our kids in a small town environment. I also worked as the “Home Support Handyman” for 25 years doing odd jobs for seniors, I love building things out of wood.

I was diagnosed with a blood disorder a few years ago and have had to restrict my work to smaller jobs that don’t require working at heights. I do miss the challenges of framing and larger renovations.

I have taken to writing and sharing some of my skills Online with the intent of helping others with various projects and have devoted this website “Outdoor Storage Options” to building sheds and other outdoor storage ideas.

I have build many outdoor storage buildings and many decks and love building stairs. I plan on writing articles on decks and stairs as well as on different storage options. I have added drawings in some articles so you can build most of these structures yourself. I hope you’ll find my articles helpful with your outdoor projects. Thanks.
